MY FAVORITES RIGHT NOW

Just thought I'd share with you my favorite items at the moment!

Thin belts (or belts of any kind really) are everywhere in fashion now - and it spruces up any outfit! I love this mustard colored one from Sportsgirl Australia:))

Accessories are important - pinkie rings are über cool and so is this Marc by Marc Jacobs plastic bracelet. Colored accessories are a must for summer. And paint your nails with glitter this season!

Boots are still one of my favorite footwear, but I haven't been able to find a pair that I have really loved for a good price for a long time. Until I found these black leather ones from Sportsgirl Australia! They are a perfect mix between cowboy and classy mid-cut boots. Love love love! Cannot wait until they are more worn out in their color. Boots are great for all outfits, so if you are thinking of buying some - you will get a lot of use from them!

CHICKEN LOINS: HEALTHY DINNER IN 10 MINUTES!!

I just arrived back from Singapore and Australia yesterday, and did not feel like standing in the kitchen for an hour (even though I looove it usually). So I created this classy, italian inspired and yummy meal in 10 minutes!

For 2 persons you need:

You might see that I have the same salad as I posted a while back - the Caprese. So use the same receipt and ingredients again.

350-350 g of chicken loin (that is the little "filet" on the chicken breast. You can alternatively use chicken beast sliced, yet the loins are more juicy)
150 g of sugar snaps
Chili and capsicum spice
Salt and pepper
olive oil

How to:

Season the chicken with chili, capsicum, salt and pepper. Then make the salad. After that put on a pot of water and bring to the boil. This is for the sugar snaps. While you wait for it to boil, make the dressing for the salad and turn the frying pan on high and add some oil. When the pan is hot add the chicken loins. Leave the heat for some time and then turn down to medium. The loins only need a max of 2 minutes on each side - depends on the size. By this time, the water will be boiling so add the sugar snaps and leave to boil in max 2 minutes - you want them to be crisp.

To plate, put the sugar snaps underneath the chicken with the salad surrounding it. Now add the dressing on the salad - but also on the chicken.

Bon Appétit!

EVERYBODY NEEDS A BLAZER

This masculine piece has been fashionable for a while now. Yet, every season we see new cuts, colors and shapes. And that is exactly why it is still hot - it is timeless and classic. The blazer is perfect for dressing up or down an outfit. It also gives you an edge, and if you pick the right one it oozes sophistication.

Here's three ways to use a blazer.

INSPIRATION: VALENTINO READY TO WEAR SPRING/SUMMER 2012

I am absolutely in love with this collection! It is romantic and yet very very confident. The fabrics and floral embroideries and patterns are great against the pale and natural color scheme. What I like so much about pale natural colors like these, is that there is a nuance for every skin color!

If you want to make a bold statement, go for a red dress this season. It is seen all over the catwalks and the Oscars. I love Valentino's versions, and especially the one to the right. I actually bought a similar, just a short skirted dress like this at Top Shop last year - so I might take it out of the closet again and wear it!

THE SIMPLEST AND BEST SALAD EVER: INSALATA CAPRESE

I have two favourite salads that I always tend to make, one is my mums receipt which she has got from her mum, and the other is the insalata caprese, which I first got introduced to on our Italy vacations. It comes from the region of Campania, Italy. It is a salad to die for, and EVERYONE - even with no cooking experience AT ALL can make this - and wow their guests. Italians don't usually make a dressing like I do, they simply just sprinkle some olive oil and balsamic vinegar on it. However, I like some garlic in my salad, it gives it that extra boost.

You need for 4 people:

2 buffalo mozzarella or other type of mozzarella (needs to be the fresh one as seen in the picture)
4 large room tempered tomatoes
Fresh basil
1-2 cloves of garlic
1/3 dl balsamic vinegar
2/3 dl good olive oil ( 1 dl all up with the vinegar and olive oil)
1 tsp of sugar
pepper for seasoning

How to:

Slice the cheese and tomatoes as seen above. The two ingredients should have around the same thickness.

To make the dressing use a garlic press for the garlic, add it in a glass and add the oil and balsamic, sugar and pepper. Stir well and leave to rest for a bit. Then the sugar dissolves and all the flavours interact.

When its time to serve the salad, pour the dressing over the tomatoes and mozzarella and add the basil leaves.

ENJOY!
